So Google locked me out of my you tube account yesterday. Not the first time, but it’s been a few years.
Mine is not a business account. No political organizing. No money. It is an account I mostly use to save videos about art, guitar, and other hobbies.
It happened after I tried logging in to you tube to continue watching a video posted by Dimitri Lascaris of REASON2RESIST. After entering my credentials, Google prompted me to download their authentication app. I refused because I already use my own secure authenticator. It pushed the prompt again. Then again.
After that, it asked me to verify who I was another way. I chose email verification. Google sent me a six digit code. I entered it correctly.
Then suddenly I rec’d two emails back to back a minute after receiving the 6 digit code google sent me to prove who I was. I did not ask Google for help logging in. I did not request assistance at all.

Apparently correctly entering my password and correctly entering the verification code still does not “prove” who I am. But the million dollar question is: what does waiting two days accomplish?
Was this AI blocking me? Most certainly. These systems are algorithmic by design. But at some point people have to stop pretending there is not a larger pattern developing across this country and across modern tech platforms.
And before someone says, “It’s just AI doing this for security,” understand what that really means.
Modern censorship rarely arrives wearing a government uniform. It wears the face of Social Media and tech billionaires.
The future is not just being locked out of social media accounts.
The future is automated systems deciding whether you can access your bank account, your healthcare, your government services, your pension, or your Social Security — all through layers of AI-driven verification and private corporate proxies nobody elected and nobody can meaningfully challenge.
That is where this trajectory leads if people keep accepting “security” and “convenience” as justification for every new layer of control.
Proxy Censorship by Social Media
It comes through automated systems.
Platform moderation.
Algorithmic throttling.
Visibility suppression.
Verification walls.
Deplatforming by proxy.
You are still technically allowed to speak. You are just made progressively harder to hear. Then locked out.
Fascism: The New American Democracy
I have little confidence the majority of Americans will ever acknowledge any glaring truths. Republicans and Democrats alike have been conditioned to believe we still live in a functioning democracy, that their vote meaningfully alters corporate power structures, and that an “Israel first” foreign policy agenda is automatically synonymous with American national security. But our elections are force choice and influenced heavily by pro-Israeli billionaires.
That is the part that the majority of Americans still refuse to confront.
No hope for the future. Just war, suffering.
