Trump in his own words.

Donald J. Trump has built his public life on cruelty, contradictions, and contempt for basic decency. This analysis is not disinformation nor a conspiracy theory; it’s Trump in his own words.

He is a “bully who doesn’t have the curiosity to understand the issues” and whose views are an unmitigated disaster for America and our democracy; what there is left of it anyway. His contradictions and behavior is seen as a Constitutional crisis for our country. He is gutting the three branches of government like a corporate raider and repurposing the DoD and Executive branches, even the White House, in his image. In other words, he is seen by many as “creating the conditions” for civil war.

Political Vendettas

Donald Trump has directed Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate and prosecute his political opponents, turning the Justice Department into a tool for retaliation. He publicly pressured Bondi on Truth Social to charge figures like Sen. Adam Schiff, former FBI Director James Comey, and New York Attorney General Letitia James, calling them “guilty as hell” and saying delays are “killing our reputation.” In one instance, he accidentally posted a private message intended for Bondi, revealing direct commands to take action against his enemies.

Trump also ordered Bondi to investigate Jeffrey Epstein’s ties to Democrats, targeting Bill Clinton, Reid Hoffman, and Larry Summers, despite no evidence of wrongdoing by them. This move is widely seen as an effort to deflect from Trump’s own connections to Epstein.

Bondi, a loyalist who defended Trump during his impeachments and promoted election denialism, has embraced this role. She previously stated, “The prosecutors will be prosecuted… the investigators will be investigated,” signaling a shift from impartial law enforcement to political vendetta.

Corporate Raider

Donald Trump was active as a corporate raider in the 1980s, launching hostile takeover bids for several publicly traded companies. He acquired significant stakes in firms like Bally Manufacturing and Holiday Corp, often selling his shares at a profit when the target company bought him out to avoid acquisition; a practice known as greenmail. In the Bally case, he reportedly earned millions after the company paid a premium to repurchase his shares, though both sides denied it was greenmail. He also invested in Eastern Airlines, purchasing its shuttle service in 1989 before turning it over to US Airways in 1992.

Trump’s tactics mirrored those of prominent corporate raiders like Carl Icahn and T. Boone Pickens, who used aggressive financial strategies to force corporate changes or profit from stock fluctuations. Like them, Trump capitalized on undervalued companies, though he typically did not complete full takeovers. His activities drew regulatory scrutiny, resulting in a $750,000 civil penalty for failing to comply with federal pre-merger notification rules. (His corporate raiding phase preceded his later financial struggles, including multiple bankruptcies in the 1990s tied to his Atlantic City casinos.)

Predatory Capitalist: An American President’s Family Business

The Trump family is profiting from a wide range of ventures, many tied directly to Donald Trump’s presidency and global influence:

Crypto Ventures

  • World Liberty Financial (WLFI): Co-founded by Trump’s sons, this crypto firm generated $463 million in the first half of 2025 from token sales. A Trump-owned entity receives 75% of all revenue after expenses. The UAE’s Abu Dhabi government invested $2 billion, generating tens of millions in interest for the family.
  • $TRUMP Meme Coin: The family earned $336 million from sales of this cryptocurrency. Top buyers were invited to exclusive events with Trump, including dinners and White House tours. The coin’s success contributed to a 17-fold increase in the family’s crypto income compared to 2024.

Real Estate & Licensing

  • Qatar Golf & Villa Project: A $5.5 billion Trump-branded beachside development in Qatar, where the family earns millions in licensing and management fees.
  • Dubai & Saudi Arabia Hotels: A Saudi firm invested $1 billion in the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Dubai. Additional Trump-branded hotels, golf courses, and luxury towers are planned across Saudi Arabia and Oman, all under lucrative branding deals.
  • Serbia Trump Hotel: Jared Kushner leased land in Belgrade (former Yugoslav Defense Ministry site) to build a Trump hotel, backed by Middle Eastern sovereign wealth funds in a $1 billion project.

Other Lucrative Deals

  • Qatar’s “Air Force One”: Qatar plans to gift a $400 million Boeing 747 for Trump’s use, which will later be owned by his presidential library.
  • Executive Branch Club: A private Georgetown club co-founded by Donald Trump Jr., with a $500,000 membership fee, attracting lobbyists, tech leaders, and White House officials.
  • LIV Golf Partnership: The Saudi-backed LIV Golf league paid an undisclosed sum to host a tournament at Trump National Doral, boosting resort revenue and visibility.
  • Hotel & Event Revenue: The Republican National Committee and other GOP groups continue to host events at Mar-a-Lago and Trump National Doral, funneling millions into family properties.

In the first half of 2025 alone, the Trump Organization earned $802 million from crypto, far surpassing the $62 million from traditional businesses like real estate and resorts. Critics warn these deals create clear conflicts of interest, with foreign governments investing heavily in Trump ventures while expecting favorable policy treatment.

Racism, Misogyny, Xenophobia, Authoritarian Impulses, and Indifference to Human Suffering.

He has been accused of mocking a disabled reporter by imitating his disability in front of a crowd, saying, “Now the poor guy, you ought to see this guy,” while mimicking his movements.

Trump has made numerous offensive remarks about women, including stating in 1992 that “You have to treat ’em like shit,” and in 2005 was recorded saying, “Grab her by the p****,” which he later dismissed as “locker room talk”. He also made a comment about his daughter Ivanka, saying, “She does have a very nice figure, I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her,” which has been widely condemned.

His racism and xenophobia are just as blatant. He launched his 2015 campaign by smearing Mexican immigrants as “rapists.” He told four Congresswomen of color to “go back” to the “crime-infested” places they came from, three of whom were born in the United States. He referred to African nations and Haiti as “shithole countries.” His comments about a Black accountant—preferring “short guys that wear yarmulkes”—combined racism and antisemitic stereotyping in a single breath. In 2023, he attacked Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, calling a Black public official a “Soros-backed animal,” amplifying racist and antisemitic conspiracy tropes.

He has shown open contempt for military service and sacrifice. He mocked Senator John McCain’s imprisonment, attacked the Gold Star Khan family after their son died fighting for the United States, and suggested Mrs. Khan “wasn’t allowed to speak” a smear rooted in Islamophobic insinuation. His own former Secretary of Defense James Mattis said Trump “does not try to unite the American people, he does not even pretend to try,” and compared his strategy to the fascist playbook of divide and conquer.

The people who worked closest to him in his last go around have condemned him outright. John Kelly, his former chief of staff, said Trump has “nothing but contempt for our democratic institutions, our Constitution, and the rule of law.” Mike Pence admitted Trump asked him to place Trump above the Constitution. Mark Esper called him “a threat to democracy” who puts himself before the country.

Even foreign leaders and longtime allies have mocked him. Rupert Murdoch, hardly a left-wing critic, said Trump convincing millions that the 2020 election was stolen was “pretty much a crime” that led straight to the January 6 attack.

Trump’s narcissism has been on public display for decades. He bragged he could “shoot somebody” and still not lose support. He once admitted he “sort of hoped” for a real estate crash so he could profit off other people’s misery. He even claimed wind turbines cause cancer and repeatedly dismissed climate science as a hoax.

His behavior (as was Biden, Fauci, etc) during the COVID-19 pandemic was reckless enough to cost lives . He publicly floated injecting disinfectant as a treatment and pushed unproven drugs while privately admitting the virus was far more dangerous than he told the public.

He spent years fueling the racist “birther” conspiracy against Barack Obama. He incited the January 6 insurrection by telling supporters to “fight like hell” to overturn an election he simply lost.

On Palestine, Trump proposed the U.S. should “take over” and “own” Gaza, calling it a “demolition site” and suggesting Palestinians be permanently resettled in Egypt or Jordan despite both countries rejecting the idea. He claimed Gaza could become the “Riviera of the Middle East” through U.S.-led redevelopment, but stated Palestinians would not have a right of return. He condemned international efforts to recognize Palestinian statehood as a “reward” for Hamas and said, “It’s up to Israel” whether to occupy Gaza endorsing potential ethnic cleansing.

And now, he openly threatens to use the American military against its own citizens. He has spoken casually about deploying federal forces into U.S. cities, even suggesting using neighborhoods as military training grounds—something that tramples legal limits and edges the country toward authoritarianism. Civil rights organizations have warned these actions resemble the tactics of governments that fear their citizens instead of serving them.

These aren’t isolated slips or misquotes. This is a long, public record of racism, misogyny, xenophobia, authoritarian impulses, and indifference to human suffering.
